A few weeks ago the BBC broadcast their Wimbledon trailer coverage and this year they have gone with a typographic style designed by Red Bee.
Speaking in Design Week Joe Lee, creative head at Red Bee, said, ‘We needed a piece that
would stand up against all the other sport that’s on at the moment.
talking about a “Golden Age of men’s tennis” – so the brief was to look
at the proposition that this was probably the most competitive
Wimbledon in the last 30 years.’
Fingers crossed that the torrential rain that has hit the UK over the last few weeks clears up before the competition begins.
It's a bit miserable out there isn't it? There is a rumour going around that there might be some sunshine next weekend though so it's not all doom and gloom. I am off to the polo tomorrow at Beaufort, think it's going to be a bit soggy!
Last night I went to a creative evening class run by Creative Bath - a local group for creatives in Bath who like to meet up to network and skill share. The course was run by Nicky Moran and pretty inspiring. It was titled 'Turn Your Creative Passion into Profit' and was focused on how to market yourself better - it was great! I have so many more ideas and a much better focus on where to go and what to do now. Just have to put it all into practice - stay tuned for some exciting updates here, on my facebook page and on twitter.
Hello lovely bloggers, sorry I haven't been around for a while. I have been enjoying an extended Jubilee break and a little hockey playing trip to Amsterdam. Wasn't it all wonderful? What a great time to be in the UK! Summer has now officially kicked off (despite the rain) and I could not be more excited.
