I know alphabets have been done to death online, especially through blogger, everyone's up to it. Personally I really like the French ones, they seem to challenge my brain more.
Anyway, I have started one too, in English and fabric based. If anyone can think of another animal beginning with N other that Newt I'd be eternally grateful! It might end up being a naked mole rat!

Something to ponder...

A few months ago I posted my spit! Which is probably the oddest thing I have ever sent through Royal Mail but it was for a very good cause. The Anthony Nolan trust has now popped me on their bone marrow donations register so that I can possibly help little girls like Alice. By now most of you should have seen Alice's Bucket List blog. The very first thing on her list is 'To make everyone sign up to be a bone marrow donor', so I thought I'd just bring it to everyone's attention. It's easy (you apply online and post your spit) it's free, painless and you could actually save someone's life! How cool is that! Superman-tastic! And by the sounds of things the donating bit isn't too bad either.

There must be equivalent charities all over the world, so maybe have a little think about it, if I am brave enough to consider it then everyone can.

This week is also National Blood Week! Vampire's unite!
Actually it's for donating blood... which I did for the very first time a few months ago, it was great but I seem to have some odd need to give my liquids away! I would certainly recommend that, also free and pretty painless, plus you get as many chocolate Bourbons as you can eat, I had 6! Certainly worth the trip.

Anyway, these little things that you can do if you want are free and the best charity I can think of in a recession, I'd recommend both of them, especially for the quality of biscuit!

Careful Now...

I have been doing some Irish based ideas at work, I can't show you what they are yet, but I will. The Father Ted quotes I used didn't get past the ideas stage with my boss, so I have taken them and added my own slant.

With an Irish father and boyfriend it was only a matter of time before this happened really.

In July The Man and myself are moving into our own little house together (Gasp!) and these will make a great moving in present for him. He LOVES Father Ted, I think it reminds him of home so these will be right up his street and will probably make great presents for his parents too. So on my birthday present list please, I would like a shiny new sewing machine please... ( He'll be reading this :) )

The Dutch Are Coming!

Next weekend our Dutch hockey friends are coming to Bath on tour. Every year we visit one another, last year Bath CD's went to Amsterdam and so in return we have invited them over. I have been tasked in creating their gift, so please see below a special 2011 commemorative edition of a bottle of Ale.

Help/Ideas needed

Hello lovely blog followers,
last night I waved goodbye to The Man for seven weeks, he's off to dodge bullets in a very dusty place.

Now, although I am going through the obvious feelings of being very sad and missing him too much it's also stuck me that I will have to supply him with seven weeks of care packages!?! Unfortunately he was also away for most of last month so I am seriously lacking in new ideas on what to send him as I have exhausted the list of usual stuff... magazines, cards, CD's etc. Does anyone have any ideas? I have googled for ideas with little success. Maybe there is something out there in blog/etsy land that I can send out? Help! I don't think Haribo is going to cut it.
