After recieving my plane and circus train swatches (which someone has actually bought!), I have been busy designing some more Spoonflower patterns. There is this fish design below
and this retro-inspired pattern as well. Test swatches have been ordered and hopefully they'll be up for sale soon! I am also waiting for test swatches of most of my other designs including the lovely Butterfly one that I can't wait to finally make into pillows. Exciting stuff!
I realise I haven't written in a while and I am sorry.
The sad news is that I love blogger, I read all of the blogs I am following every morning with my coffee and really enjoy it. The truth is, however that I started my blog because I was seriously bored being non-creative in my last job, as lovely as it was, as lovely as the people were and as lucky as I was to work for such a good company I was BORED! So, I started this little blog as an excuse to be creative. Since then I have changed jobs and been flung into a roller-coaster crazy stationery designing world and I love it! I am constantly being fed exciting and challenging creative briefs and I love my job! Now I don't feel the need to rush home and design something beautiful because I am doing already, every day. I am such a lucky duck. So I am afraid that my poor little blog has suffered as a consequence of my new found job satisfaction. So now the majority of my posts will be 'stuff done at work' and, as most of you probably know what happens at the day job needs to stay at the day job until it is printed and in the real world. As I only started my day job in November things have been quite slow at trickling through to be published. But bare with me, it'll all be getting very exciting very soon, I promise!
LOOK! My Spoonflower swatches arrived yesterday (after nearly a 3 month wait... ahem) and I love them. The little circus train and it's animals came out really well and after some colour alterations the Planes should be looking pretty good too.
Now I know the scale of a swatch I can get uploading and ordering the rest of my patterns so that they can be purchased by everyone, can't wait for the butterfly ones, they are going to make great pillows!
Just got an email from the lovely people at Spoonflower. My pattern swatches of my planes and circus train are on their way! I can't wait to see them, I hope they look ok. I have popped some others on since, I am going to see how the first ones look before ordering some more. Fingers crossed!
Sorry I havn't blogged properly in a while. The Man is away flying and although this should have given me all the freedom I would need to blog it seems as though my wonderful friends have all rallied around in support and we have had a fantastic time. With touring, endless bank holidays and wedding street parties the last month has been crazy busy! Luckily for my blog, although not for him, The Man will be off winning medals again soon for a very long time so hopefully my other love - DesignJessica - will be getting some attention.
